Connectivity
Commuting from Calstock to Plymouth is easy with trains departing every 33 minutes at peak times during weekdays.
Calstock’s branch line train station is literally a few steps and provides a regular service whilst being one of the UK’s most impressive train journeys through the stunning landscape to Plymouth in just 25 minutes and a mainline connection to London Paddington in just over 3 hours. Plymouth’s ferry terminal has regular sailings to Roscoff and Santander.
With excellent communication links to the city of Exeter via the A30 and A38 Devon Expressway, dual carriageways link to the M5.
Exeter’s International Airport, just 1 hour away, services a number of domestic and international destinations from the UK with daily flights to Manchester Airport’s international hub. Further local links to south Cornwall are also easily accessed.
Calstock is dominated by a magnificent railway viaduct completed in 1907. This structure is one of the last great railway viaducts constructed standing at 120 feet tall with 12 sixty foot arches. This iconic viaduct with its spectacular views, carries the Tamar Valley railway which stretches to Plymouth and north to the village of Gunnislake.
